6×6 Australia Employees

Bob and Karen, Melanie Beth, Steve, B.J., Mike, and Geoff.

BOB -

FOUNDER, CHIEF EXECUTIVE and TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Bob works throughout all operations, overseeing every aspect of our builds. He is Founder, CEO, Technical Director and Head of R&D at 6X6 AUSTRALIA Pty Ltd.

KAREN - COMPANY SECRETARY

Karen has been with Bob since way before our company’s inception, now working behind the scenes as his devoted and faithful Personal Assistant. She is a leading company Executive working to keep us forging ahead.

STEVE JAMES - CO-FOUNDER and EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Steve completed his Coach-building apprenticeship with us back in late-1999 and now works as Executive Director position.

BRENDAN JAMES -

WORKSHOP OPERATIONS MANAGER

Brendan started out as a Certified Boilermaker tradesman, now working as Vehicle-builder to take charge of the Manufacture and Assembly Floors.

He leads our Trades Staff, building the vehicles on time and under budget, all with a mindfulness for quality that makes him seem very fussy ad particular as he honours his commitment to our brand.

He runs his ship tight, and commands respect from his men with the warmth and magnetism only his old Man (Bob) and his brothers can match. Everybody loves BJ.

MEL - OFFICE MANAGER

Mel came to us in early-2019 to take over the Office Operations from Steve as he begins to shift his focus toward other aspects of his role.

Mel works in Office Management with a focus on Marketing/Promotion, and capture of increasing Sales Figures, while at same time completing the typically mundane tasks in office management. Mel is bright and forthright in assisting all potential clientele in achieving their vehicle’s requirements.

Mel often works closely with Bob as his P.A. when required, and complements Brendan in overseeing all operations on the Production/Assembly Floors sourcing supplies to keep the Tradies moving productively.

GEOFF - MOTOR TRIMMING/UPHOLSTERY

Geoff works on a Casual basis when we have any custom Motor Trimming/Upholstery Bodywork contracts to complete, and he guides the Work Teams on each aspect of these projects.

BREEZY - APPRENTICE COACH-BUILDER

Breezy started with us in February 2017, and is staying on to complete his apprenticeship as an Automotive Coach-builder, studying 1 Day/Week at Wollongbar T.A.F.E. College for the formal aspects of his training.

With all his overtime hours worked since Feb. 2017, and all the “Late Night Deadlines” achieved with us since then, he is set to complete his apprenticeship almost 12 months early in April 2020.

THE WORK CREW

Bob works with two of his sons, Stevo & Brendan (both Vehicle-builder Tradesmen), one of his brother-in-laws Geoff (Motor Trimmer), his daughter Mel (Office Manager), and Mike (Apprentice Bodymaker).

From time-to-time Casual Tradesmen &/or Labour staff are employed when required to meet deadlines.

Our small team of dedicated workers band together, supplying homegrown craftsmanship and good old-fashioned “Hard Yakka” as we honour our customers by honouring ourselves, our company name, and our product brand.
